You can access articles here to help you with every stage of planning and building your website.

RSS stands for Rich Site Summary (or Really Simple Syndication).

An RSS feed gives web users the ability to receive the latest information from a website through the use of a ‘feed reader' (also called a ‘news aggregator' or 'news reader').

With this feature, updates made to a website will be available to you via RSS feed. RSS is fast becoming the most popular way to get the latest content delivered directly to you.

Feed Readers (News Aggregators)

To be able to receive latest information via an RSS feed, web users need to install a Feed Reader on their computer. Micosoft recommends various News Readers available for download, which can be found here: Microsoft Windows Recommendations. Apple recommends NetNewsWire.

You may also use a web-based news aggregator like www.live.com which means you won't need to install anything and you can start using RSS feeds immediately.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7+  you will find a built-in Feed Reader under the Favourites tab.
