Using Non-Datasearch Hosting

Datasearch is happy to work in any approved hosting environment, but recommend our own Quality Australian Managed Hosting.

If you wish to manage your own hosting, please ensure you have organised:

-  ASP.Net 3.5 hosting (Not PHP) with a disk space and bandwidth allowance appropriate for the expected size/growth of your website

-  MS SQL Server Database 2005 (or above) (Not My Sql - this is different)

-  Installation of any SSL certificates required by your website for data security

-  FTP Login details and appropriate permissions, so that we can access your website and set it up correctly

- IP Address of your hosting, so we can point your domain name to the appropriate place

-  DNN compatible hosting (if your website is a content management system)

-  Regular backups of your data

-  Monitoring of your hosting

-  Email accounts, if you require these  

While we are happy to work with your preferred hosting provider, please be aware that slow services, lack of support for permissions requests, inadequate levels of access or unusual behaviour of the server may increase the development time and cost required to construct and maintain your site.

Please note that we will charge for time spent liasing with your hosting provider.
