Tips for sending your first e-newsletter in Campaign Monitor
Log in
- Go to www.campaignmonitor.com and click 'login' in the top right corner.
- Enter your username. You will be redirected to a page with a URL similar to http://yourname.createsend.com
- Enter your username and password.
Create a campaign
- Under 'clients you are sending for', click on the correct name.
- Click 'create a new campaign'.
- Fill in the appropriate fields. Click Next.
- Under 'Select the format for this campaign', click 'Use one of my templates'.
- Click the radio button of the template you would like to use. Your pre-built Datasearch template should appear in this list.
- Click next.
Add Content
Add your content to the template, by clicking the pencil symbol which appears next to the title in the main area. The table of contents will automatically display the titles from the main area.
To add more articles, click the 'add new item' button under the first article.
When you've finished, click 'Preview Email' and check that it looks correct.
Test and Send
If it is correct, click 'Define Recipients'. Check the subscriber list you would like to send to, or enter up to 10 email addresses manually.
Click 'Test and define delivery' to send a test email and proceed to the real delivery. Campaign monitor allows you to test your email to see that it looks correct across most popular email clients - this is well worth the $5 charge.
